Closing the Cahill Expressway in Circular Quay on New Years' Eve so people have a new vantage point for watching the Sydney fireworks is an excellent idea.

Let's take it a step further, and close the Cahill Expressway.

Permanently.

Take it a further step - build the Northern Beaches Line that should have used the Cahill Expressway lanes on the Bridge! (It'll never happen but one can dream).
