The science was clear: the DNA on the crime scene did not match the one of Marcellus Williams. Death penality is State murder and has to be abolished. The execution of yesterday was the assassination of an innocent black man by US officials.

I think there is a fundamental problem with using the term 'innocent man'. People will turn off the messenger when they spend 15 seconds researching and realize he was completely mixed up in this.

Arguing their is a good possibility they are putting to death the wrong perpetrator in this crime which could leave the real murderer out there is how you move the goal posts for people who think they are 'tough on crime'

i think this rests on the maxim of the right to innocence until *proven* guilty beyond a shadow of a doubt. The fact of the prosecutor who secured the conviction doubting the validity of their own conviction effects more than a shadow of doubt, which, if the average American had the courage of their loud convictions, firmly renders the man innocent regardless of legal judgement.
