Angela Glansbury 🚽It is am example of California Spanish style architecture, with the dark exposed beams and the light walls. I think its just the high pitched roof that makes it seem churchy. That central light fixture is repeated several times.
The train service there is more reliable that certain British trains I could name, but they come much less often.

In both directions, my train was 45 minutes late according to the schedule, but actually showed up/left within 5 minutes of me getting to he platform to wait.
No British train has ever done that.
