As I've seen many people here celebrating the recent release of the 4K Reforged Edition of the genre defining #BrokenSword 1, today's #RetroTrivia will be about the PS1 port from 1996:

Whereas the original PC version runs at 640x480 pixels, the PS1 halves the vertical resolution to 320x240 due to the consoles technical limitations. This leads to...

...I am a big fan of the series that introduced me to the genre and will always be my benchmark for an atmospheric #PointandClick. ⚖️

How did you get in contact with the game and are you considering buying the Reforged Edition to bring back some childhood memories? 🤔

@repeatro I came upon these games about fifteen years ago when I had a longer PnC phase. I really liked the first one and I'd like to revisit it. I'm sure I played the sequels as well, but I can't remember much about the games.

I already own it on GOG, so I'm probably not going to get the Reforged version. I'm planning to put that on my phone once I'm done with the Blackwell series. 🙂

@mforester

I am not a big fan of the Reforged Edition because this game is a pixel game in my memory. Ok, it shouldn't be the resolution downgrade of the PS1, but the classic 640x480 pixels or little above are the way I remember and like the first two titles of the series.
