The way I remember Cherry 2000 is that a rich dude spends the whole movie trying to get his sexbot back while in the process falling in love with a human woman; which leaves Cherry a free agent at the end. (It's been a long time but I sort of remember her reaction being to sort of shrug.)

bunch of my friends at that time had a sort of unofficial Tim Thomerson Appreciation Society - they'd constantly be cluing people in about when one of his flicks was gonna be showing cheap on campus or on HBO or Showtime.
