Asking people to give up their lives, hobbies, and anything that brings them joy when they go into politics isn’t the way to get quality candidates.
No one’s saying he can’t go to the game. He just can’t take free expensive tickets as political favors or have enhanced security on the government’s dime. He can buy his own tickets if he wants to, he’s a big boy.

To be fair, his salary is “only” £75,440 which isn’t as much as I was expecting. But he also gets £25k a year in free gifts according to the article so…

EDIT having looked again, it seems like he actually gets £170k P.A. (the prime minister’s salary is on top of his MP’s salary) so fuck him, he can afford his own football tickets.
Prime Ministers get invited to all kinds of events, this isn’t particularly remarkable in my view.
