iOS 18 tip: You can delete Control Center pages, including the music and networking pages. To delete, long press to go into wiggle mode, then remove all widgets from the page you’d like to delete.

If you have only one page, it’s possible to swipe up to dismiss Control Center.

@marcedwards you can swipe to dismiss with multiple pages too… swipe to dismiss is a standard exiting feature to get out of an app, return to homepage from another Home Screen, and to dismiss Notification Center. Swiping the same way to do all those other common actions will desmiss the control center as well. The number of control center pages has 0 bearing on this standard iOS behavior.

@richaesthetic That's only partly true. What you're referring to is a swipe from the bottom of the screen. @marcedwards is referring to the possibility of swiping up *anywhere* on the control center to dismiss it. This stops working with multiple pages, since your up-swipe is then interpreted as a page change and not a dismiss action.

@guyyst @richaesthetic Yeah, I should have been a little clearer. The thing I missed was being able to swipe from anywhere. I like the Control Center changes, but the additional pages weren’t helping much, given you can get to things like networking switches via long pressing the network tile.

@guyyst yes, I know that. My point was you interact with a single swipe up gesture in multiple places around the OS, I find it a little facetious for people to claim that doing it for control center suddenly makes it too difficult of a thing to do.

@richaesthetic I think control center is a little unique with regards to the universality of the "swipe-from-bottom" gesture, in that you invoke it from the top right.

For me personally, using a 15 Pro Max, getting to control center often involves some shimmying down, which then makes a swipe up all the way from the bottom even more awkward.

@guyyst yeah I get that, but wouldn’t she say that’s more of a hand size thing than a phone size thing. I don’t have to show me my phone, and accessing control center is even easier than accessing the notification center. And both can use the universal swipe up from the bottom gesture.
