Ngl I still love mastodon, but I'm demotivated bcs how quiet it is. I wish more people are here 😔
@itssugarmorning Well it's quite vibrant...
@lumiere i mean like I wish my twitter audiences move here XDDD

@itssugarmorning @lumiere Always worth having variety of audience. Means new people discover ya through different media.

For me as a musician that is a normal thing and it is lovely to see all kinds of fans be on their favorite platforms.

@itssugarmorning Yeah, I wish more ponies came here.

I think I blame the Official Mastodon App during it's earlier years when it restricted users to interacting within just it's server giving everyone who used that app the impression that Mastodon (not the fediverse) was just a version of discord.

Of course, this is not true but if that's all they have seen that's how people are going to perceive it. That are they lacked the guidance of what decentralisation actually is.

Still, I'd rather stay here than anyway else.

Also, it's nice seeing you here again Sugar.

@Shredd_Tone i probably wouldn't stay long. It's difficult for me to go around when I got nothing to see. Though maybe in the future I can be more active. It could also be my fault for not following enough people XP

@itssugarmorning That's fine, you'll always be free go about your own free will.

If you really want to get the best out of the fediverse, you're gonna have to Users and trends.

Don't know if it would help, but there's app called 'PostyBird' that can help you post to a whole variety of Social Media Outlets from one place. It can help save you time.

@itssugarmorning Mastodon has a small but strong community

Hooves will get a update soon with a lot of features I'm hoping those will get a few people interested all and all the best thing you can do to get people to move is showing them what they can do Mastodon has no advertising it only has word of mouth
@itssugarmorning network effects be like that unfortunately - also that thing where the kind of people who live on Mastodon are like "it's not THAT difficult having to sign up for one of 183495 different federated servers that don't all talk to each other and use hashtags like it's 2009 and adhere to unwritten standards of behaviour and maintain morale while posting to an audience 5% the size of your twitter following or less. I really don't get why people don't just switch"

@captainhoers @itssugarmorning Because the exact reason this whole post was made - not enough people using it.

That is why i still have Twitter while also using Mastodon.

People want to be where everyone else is. Which makes it hard for alternatives to grow unless they provide something brand new.

For me i like diversity so more places everyone can find me the better but i would not expect everyone to follow on every platform at the same time, different fans on different places all make up a huge family in the end

@itssugarmorning Yeah. It’s way too quiet here. But at this point it’s starting to feel like saying “I know all my friends like to hang out at the Nazi bar and you don’t have to be a Nazi to go there, but I just don’t want that place benefiting from me going there anymore.”

@itssugarmorning Better quiet and organized than a massive mob full of empty words.

I stopped checking main feeds of big social media long time ago cause it really leads to full of nothing that just takes energy which can otherwise be spent on the good stuff.

And a looot of people out there rely on drama or memes to keep em afloat which is just sad.

It feels refreshing to have a place people genuinely can feel safe and remember older internet where not every post u make is potentially seen by 2 billion people which can be both good or absolutely life ending

@itssugarmorning I personally quite like it here. It's small, yeah, but strong. This place has way more soul than Twitter had in a long time, with its empty likes and such. At least in my experience...
@thatonegib that's true, i get a lot more of real people interaction here tbh lol
