HELL YES!!

#TaylorSwift endorses Kamala #Harris on Instagram.

@GottaLaff Welcome news, but I’m always sceptical when candidates get the celebrities in. This is unlikely to swing many ordinary voters in places like Pennsylvania or Wisconsin
@NigelNotNeil @GottaLaff Ugh. You’re saying she isn’t able to use her voice to back a candidate without being strong armed into it? It’s bad enough that people on TikTok are saying she’s ’just a singer’ and should ‘stay in her lane’ by staying mute.
@LexiGirl @GottaLaff Not in the slightest, my point was that it’s always questionable when political parties use celebrity endorsements in their campaigns. I seem to remember Hillary Clinton doing that in 2016, and it didn’t end well for her
@NigelNotNeil @GottaLaff I understand what you’re saying, but it’s not like she appeared on stage at the DNC. I’m not a Swifty, but I admire her as a person and the way she stands up for what she believes in. This post is from 2018. She is speaking out *against* Marsha Blackburn:

@LexiGirl @GottaLaff She has just as much right to an opinion as anyone else. She’s also entitled to share that opinion and given her platform, this was always going to get coverage. Plus, for the record, I really hope Kamala wins.

My point is that politicians should focus less on celebrity endorsements and more on what they can offer “ordinary” people.

@NigelNotNeil Um, they are. I haven’t seen Harris focus on any endorsement, let alone celeb. It is you who seems focused on them and unable to see the benefits. @LexiGirl
