Kristoffer LawsonWhy is everything so grim on TV these days? I’m kind of tired of all the violence and pessimism in humanity. What happened to dreaming about great things, new achievements, overcoming our weaknesses (like in #StarTrek)?

I'm not sure it's an overall downwards trend for TV, but I completely agree that Star Trek has for 15 years been treated by those in charge as "just a TV show" rather than the transcendent thing it was.
