OpenRTX now supports combined spectrum + waterfall on Talkpod A36Plus thanks to @k8tun! This feature will also be ported to our other targets.

@openrtx @k8tun oh no... This device is blacklisted by swiss regulator OFCOM/BAKOM for non conformity. 😢

@hb9hli @openrtx Are you sure? I remember they sorted that out. Plus, this is the 8W model.

I'll ask them about it and see if they got it certified.

@k8tun @openrtx Manufacturers often certify several standards for the same piece of equipment, and if one of the "EN" standards fails, the equipment is banned, even if the standard passes for us amateur radio operators (EN-301783). Many Chinese radios are on this list.

Non-compliant equipment

Here you will find a non-exhaustive list of the telecommunications equipment and electrical apparatus which have been the subject of an OFCOM conformity check and which have resulted in a failure to comply with the applicable requirements, in particular the technical requirements.

@hb9hli @openrtx Ah, as I suspected, that's the 5W model, not the A36Plus MAX. I believe the MAX (8W version, serial numbers M13B5 instead of M12B5) is all clear, but we will see.

Just to clarify -- OpenRTX only works on the A36Plus MAX 8W model.

@k8tun @openrtx You can contact OFCOM/BAKOM if you want, you'll know what you need to do to get off this blacklist. Thanks for your great work for M17 implantation, it's a great opensource mode for digital hamradio.
