Gate anti-sag kit fitted to my old sagging gate. It no longer drags on the ground when opened. The full weight of the gate now hangs off the fence post. How long until it pulls the fence over?

@bornach before the gate was sagging, the whole weight would have hung off the post too right? So hopefully it was built with that in mind? But then again seeing as the gate didn't hold up, who knows...

@bornach My guess: They made this diagonal brace ornamental when it should have been structural.
One piece, going from the upper hinge down to the lower corner, bearing the load of the gate. 🤔

@bornach It's braced to swing from the other side, yeah? Only things holding it up are the brackets.
