Also, it's a straw man; nobody is seriously arguing that we should be fuelling planes with cooking oil alone. SAF has a multitude of feedstocks, and there's not a single target out there that aims for 100% SAF in the foreseeable future.

It's similar to saying that I run the company car on cooking oil, because it runs on 100% HVO. It's an incomplete story, and thus a dishonest one.

Picking a renewable fuel is part of a broader strategy, and should really only be used for kilometers you cannot avoid, and then ideally only when it is locally produced.
