Brother in law is travelling through Croydon and sent me this photo (I grew up in Croydon and we used to have a house there). The posters at the station are quite something. Firstly - is it really the London Borough of Culture? When did that happen? Who decided that? Also I'm very much enjoying the passive aggressive.... 'THIS IS CROYDON.... AND YOU'RE WELCOME'. For the uninitiated - Croydon is universally accepted as the butt of all jokes about the worst place in the UK. It's not at all, but it has a reputation. The place I grew up was featured as the area/parents house in All of Us Strangers which is a fairly accurate representation. Apart from all the ghosts.
