Ordered a #Mammotion #Luba2 robot mower.

Channeling #JackNicholson in #AsGoodAsItGets - I hate mowing. I'm using the word "hate" here.

When we first moved here, to the largest lot I've ever lived on (1/3 acre & ca. 20 trees), I hired a nice HS kid to mow. Proved unreliable, but not his fault. Considered a robot mower, but at that time ALL of them required a buried perimeter wire, and as a #HamRadio operator, that seemed like a bad combo. So I got a #TimeCutter from #Toro
...(cont'd)...

Then also removed many trees. 'Twas a ridiculous number of trees.

The East property line is also a drainage ditch, & this has been a wet summer. Most times I can't mow the last 2, 3, 4 mower-widths at that end of the lawn, 'cuz it'll get stuck in the mud.

Finally there are GPS/RTK units that don't cost MORE than a commercial riding mower. It's on order, & I'm excited about not doing that stupid shit anymore that oppressive capitalists literally wrote into law to keep us too busy ...(cont'd)...

...to freely associate (& organize unions, discuss progressive politics, etc.).

In many cities, you HAVE to have a grass lawn. And you HAVE to keep it cut short. Like a fucking golf course. (Side note: I hate golfers - they're mostly capitalist right-wing nut-job white-supremacist oppressors. But Frizbee golf is great.)

Not me, anymore. Soon, a robot will do that time-wasting on my behalf. I have better ways to waste my time.

Now - when will we get nanobots that trim hair automatically?
