I need to find a better video editing program.
Shotcut is fine for short things but I'm sure that I can automate some stuff more if I find something better.
Like, if I found something that adds a picture when there's sound coming from one audio track and leaves it blank when there's no sound that would be a huge help already for when I edit the podcast.
@raccoon there's a good video editor that, mostly free (has some paid features too), but i forgot its name
@raccoon I use either KdenLive or DaVinci Resolve
DaVinci Resolve is a professional level program but, is free since Blackmagic make most of their money from optional hardware that's then used with DaVinci Resolve
Also they make super expensive video cameras so they get money from that too
Oh there's also a version of DaVinci that does cost money, but I've never needed any of its features and I've done some pretty complex stuff in davinci resolve, ie motion stabilisation of drone footage and such

KdenLive is a FOSS option developed by KDE, it's really quite good
