They only left X because it’s almost being shut down in Brazil. Apparently they didn’t mind the repulsive behaviors of it’s owner and the repulsive policies of the company since the takeover.

@waarismijnhoofd it seems like your point is that they have insufficient moral purity because it took this to break the network effect.

I would rather welcome them for choosing to try Fedi instead of going to Bluesky or Threads, because I think we all benefit by having a viable non-billionaire-owned social network.

@waarismijnhoofd @standev Because every person who decides to stay here and permanently no longer uses Twitter is a win for us and a loss for Elon and at least for me, winning against a billionaire asshole is more satisfying than gloating.
