From Stockmarknes, we cycled along Eurovelo 1 southward. The weather was still stormy, and heavy rain was predicted for the evening and night. Therefore, we were very happy to have found a shelter. We were able to enjoy the view for a few minutes before pressing ourselves as best we could against the wall of the open house to avoid getting wet from the rain that was lashing towards us. We used one of the tables as an additional windbreak for the night. The next morning, we took advantage of the one hour where the sun was out to pedal to Melbu, the southernmost point of the little island Hadseløya.
