I deeply appreciated Steve Silberman's science writing even more than his music writing. I was lucky to talk about Neurotribes with him at some MSG NYE. I just got approval for a new study on genetic diagnosis in adults with autism and was so hoping for another chance set break encounter. He represented that community with such thoughtfulness and nuance. Hoping the cystic fibrosis book is close enough to completion to be published - I've been looking forward to that one for years.
