Our leading lady Esther Ralston was a former child vaudevillian who later became a major star for Paramount by the mid 1920s. She was able to transition to talkies but by 1933 was mostly in supporting roles and by 1940 she retired from film. She later did some anthology televison shows. She has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame located at 6664 Hollywood Boulevard.

Leading man Charles Farrell was a business dropout who originally was going to go into the business side of the film industry but after becoming an extra for Paramount he ended up becoming an actor.

It wasn’t until he was under contract with Fox that he became a major leading man mostly b/c people loved him with Janet Gaynor. Like, Esther Ralston, his career fizzled out by 1940 and he later did 50s tv before becoming a property developer in Palm Springs.
