How we beat back the corporate takeover of America:

1. Break up corporate monopolies

2. Continue building union power

3. End Citizens United and get big money out of politics

Letโ€™s keep working to unrig the system.

@rbreich

I would add: Do not do business with them if you can avoid doing so.

@rbreich how can one rewind capitalism from late stage?

@rbreich

In 2003 the UK passed a law banning political advertisements on TV and Radio? They had banned buggy political donations before that.

@rbreich Unless you seriusly address the out of control greed I'm afraid nothing changes.
@rbreich Why not fix the absurd proposition that a corporation is a person? Isn't that the origin of the obscene wealth inequality we have experienced?

@rbreich

Vote in POTUS Harris & sufficient Dem majorities to pass laws. Dems have from now until the new Congress is sworn to draft these laws.

They must include *rapidly draw down fuels, restore biodiversity, codify human & voting rights, reform/expand SCOTUS, overturn Citizens United and absolute POTUS immunity, etc. If they donโ€™t weโ€™ll see that dark $ plutocrats continue to pervert our constitutional system. Profit over equitable civilization & livable Earth.

So We the People have until the new Congress is sworn to discuss our demands*. And organize.

The perverted system is ruining civilization & Earth. Any continued failure requires very fundamental democracy, as in whether and when we buy or work, to correct the course of government. We Very Inclusive People must then make clear the consent of the governed. We must make our own places at big bargaining tables.

Prep now to wither GDP then. To only buy essentials, strike or support a striker. Hold out for *.
Pls talk it up.

@rbreich Ah yes, the classic "let's fix the system by making it worse" plan. Because why not give more power to the very people who can't even run a lemonade stand? ๐Ÿ‹๐Ÿ’ธ
@rbreich Why not attack the foundation of corporate excess? Because a corporation is not a person!
@rbreich yeah... You actually need to get non-lobbied politicians, and the most realistic solution (yet still very much unrealistic) is a change in the voting system whereby the lowest-energy state is not a bipartisan system, that is, parties don't get crushed or absorbed for "useful vote" purposes.
@rbreich The two major corporate parties will never do any of this. They care too much about their corporate donors. Keep voting for Republicans and Democrats and nothing will ever change.
