I played another #solo game of #Expeditions with #GearsOfCorruption tonight.

1. I moved the difficulty up one notch and lost by 5 points. It wasn't too hard, but I think it was more...

2. Tried out two new characters, Baaliahon and Zephon, and I just couldn't get the hang of it. They don't have normal Solve or Vanquish actions, so this threw me for a loop

3. Tried a new Mech, Scarecrow, and I enjoyed it's variable power

4. Corrupted Mech again did nothing

I also played Baaliahon and Zephon recently:

I really liked the vibe of them, but I also thought that they played quite differently and that it was even harder to pull off good combos.

Attached: 1 image Played the Gears Of Corruption expansion to Expeditions for the first time yesterday! We loved the new metal minis and small additions to the game, like new character cards and starting resources. But we didn't play the corrupted mech module, yet, because we had a new player onboard, and the learning curve is already quite steep, IMO. I still feel like I rarely manage to pull of great combos, but maybe I need to play it more often. #Expeditions #Scythe #BoardGames

@heretic_hannes Yeah, I think the biggest problem was not having the normal advantage of being able to use the uncovered action when you vanquished the last corruption. Once you removed it with Baal, your turn was typically over.

I think either character or companion should have had the normal Solve or Vanquish action and then the other could be altered. Having both be completely different seemed a disadvantage
