Thomas ReedI've photographed bears in Alaska twice, just a month shy of 35 years apart. Here are examples of both. (Ignore the fact that my technique has improved in 35 years and focus on the image quality)
The second image was taken on Kodachrome 64 slide film, which was high-quality film at the time. Supposedly, it was some of the best film for archival purposes.
As you can see, though, it falls far short of what modern digital images are capable of. I know some folks still really like film, and I'm sure I'll hear the reasons, but this is an illustration of just one reason why I will never go back to film.
