With the DNC starting tomorrow, I took note of one glaring aspect. Both parties traditionally feature former presidents from their party as a speaker endorsing the candidate, and the DNC continues that with Clinton and Obama as featured speakers along with Biden. Conspicuous by their absence at the RNC was the previous republican president or vice presidents, all of whom are still alive.

Speaks volumes on the state of the republican party.

@Wileymiller Even George W. Bush (!) is embarrassed by #Trump .
@BruceMirken @Wileymiller
"W" should be outraged by Trump and endorsing Harris, but he's as much of a coward as those who have fallen in with T****. Dick Cheney has at least spoken out against him.
@dougiec3 @BruceMirken @Wileymiller
Plus, since Americans have chosen a Republican POTUS so rarely in the last decades that they don't even have many FPOTUS to choose from either.

@GreenFire
Well, there's 3 former VP's in the republican party who could have been speakers at the RNC...Quayle, Cheney and Pence, all no-shows.

@dougiec3 @BruceMirken

@Wileymiller As you probably know, they all oppose #Trump

@MessagingMatters

Yes, that's the point about the state of the Not-So-Grand Old Party.

@MessagingMatters @Wileymiller W fund raised for him last time and again this time. He won’t speak up for him publicly, but he fund raises in off shore venues for him.
@Wileymiller I think they should be forced to show up, as a reminder to us all who it was that built him.
