Saw a lot of people recommending Atomic Habits so I went and read it. I have to say, I'm a bit disappointed. It starts very strong, and "cue craving response reward" is a good way to identify behavior, but the rest 😴

The author tells you how many things he can achieve with this method, and spends the intro talking about how amazing he is at managing it all. Which, sure, a lot of these self-help books are like this. But there was a moment I felt so cheated. It was kinda like this meme:

"Every Monday, my assistant" 🫠 Only mentioning the assistant by passing ONCE around the middle of the book. Yo guys, I think I found the secret to productivity! Hire an assistant!
@emi_cpl Have been a few years, but back then I liked it! 🤷‍♂️ But yeah, like most of those self-help books, it's extremely redundant and could be easily summed up in a couple of sentences. In the end, it all comes down to how much the core idea resonates with you and how many examples for it you can endure, I guess.
