I feel both perplexed & amused at those people here who simply cannot abide someone's calmly disagreeing with them AND presenting factual responses to their statements. Instead of engaging further & trying to learn something, they block after two or three reasonable exchanges.

Echo chambers are seductive, I guess.

In my opinion, it's a sign of immaturity: being unable to tarry with conflict and learn from the Other.

(Standard caveat: ofc trolls, racists, & fascists don't merit engagement.)

@courtcan Yeah, those people who can't seem to be able to hold a conversation are strange, seems the art of conflict resolution or just getting to understand peoples' different opinions has been lost.

@glaroc Agreed. I'm not in the "can't we just all get along?" mindset -- but it would be a hope-filled sign of growth if we could all* at least have a conversation!
