JudyAm loving the new #HeatPumpHotWater system. It’s efficient, quiet, looks like living up to expectation of being significantly cheaper than the old infinity gas system, and even if the electricity is not entirely generated by sustainable means (yet) it is significantly lighter on carbon production. It’s a win-win-win-win. 😊

@judysutherland if you don't have solar panels yet get them, the combo with a heat pump hws means you can probably set the timer to boost ideally (or even only) to when you are most likely to have sun, and minimise the carbon cost even more. I imagine if you have very fancy tech capabilities you could set it to only boost when solar energy is available too, mine only allows timing of boosting though.
@kudra I think that’s probably not so useful for me because of the way my part of the roof faces (south and west with a big bank to the east). But I might look at that again in a year or so. Love the idea in principle.
