Kennedy Richard maintains OSSIn Nodezator's dev branch: changed the magnetic sockets feature to make it closer to what I envisioned originally: the nodes had hands and would help you by grabbing the new connection for you.

@tsturm Didn't see it for myself, but I was told Blender also detects proximity, although it lacks the little hands, which is a bummer. (by the way, love Blender, but haven't used it in the past few years despite never abandoning it cause I simply didn't need to do any 3D design lately).
@KennedyRichard Blender does help making the connections, but your little hands animation is pure genius. :)
