The fact that there is infinite funding for anything with any mention of fusion or quantum but absolutely no funding for the accumulating space trash around our entire planet says everything you need to know about the state of science

In defense of the scientific community as opposed to those holding purse strings, about 13,500 scholarly articles on #SpaceDebrisMitigation have been published this year.

Especially of late the field of inquiry is taking off like a rocket. :-)

@Doug_Bostrom thank you I hadn’t seen this quarterly release and I contacted them for advice. There really is almost no funding in this though, so any publication is a professor with research liberty

I find the situation pretty enraging, not only the relative lack of attention in the form of ducats for remediation but even more the rush to deliver multiple redundant low orbit shopping/kitty video delivery constellations.
