Ok. I'm not a Twitter employee. But I am an employee. I know that good corporate culture is a beautiful thing, even if it's not the deathbed "family" we hark back to. I know from personal experience that toxic culture dulls your mind and emotions, leaving you numb at best, and shellshocked at worst. I am not surprised at Twitter's outcomes, based on how Twitter's employees have been treated. Yes, salaries are generally a high business expense. But without that experience, poor decisions are made. Et voila, Elon's fuck up. NOT everything that brought him to today in terms of operations. Rather, all the negative human resources options he's chosen.
@Shell An EU friend told me that one reason this is happening (and that zuck booted some racist accounts) is because the EU is currently evaluating social media and the amount of sketchy and racist material posted per hour. That they are trying to game the system to dodge fines and bans. IDK if that's part of Elmo's reasoning or not. If it's true it is just par for these creeps. Protecting the hateful.
@Aikiwomannc it doesn't matter how "elevated" a person's socio economic status is. There's literally no excuse for racist behaviour. And that's one tiny microcosm of his attitude spreading out over a previously global platform. The anti-LGBTQ+ behaviour is so alarming. And everything seems to tie back into the recently released legislature. What happened to cancel culture for Elon? Ah, but there's always two ways forward, one for the average Joe, and one for the elitist pos
@Shell This! Agree. Also saw a post explaining why Elmo's explanation of preventing data scraping is BS. The OP is a a data analytics manager. If he's right, they didn't pay their bill and are being limited. Which if true is funny to me.
