Introducing Proton Duo: Unlimited privacy for two | Proton

The Proton Duo plan makes it easy for two people to protect their privacy. Get encrypted email, 1 TB of storage, and more.

Proton
@protonprivacy I do wish I could just upgrade my personal ultimate account to a Duo one with a small bump in price rather than pay a year or two get that pricing.
@protonprivacy this should be a family plan. Sooner than later I'll have to setup a mail system for my daughter.
@istar We also offer a family plan if you need to support more users.

@protonprivacy @istar I would really love a family plan of the mail plus. The Family unlimited is a bit pricey for the kids' mails. But I would like to upgrade them to features like "@pm.me", family calendar and more folders and labels.

The oldest one got hooked by google, and it's not easy convincing her to try something non-survailance-capitalism.

Proton Family plan | Online privacy for your whole family | Proton

Keep your whole family secure online with 3 TB of storage space, encrypted email and calendar, secure storage for files and passwords, and a high-speed VPN.

Proton
@dazo I currently have mail plus. The family plan is not cost effective as it stands for my use case. I just want an email with a custom domain for the family.

@istar

Proton Duo is essentially Proton Family with just 2 accounts instead of 6 accounts.

There are no "multiple users" plans for any of the Plus plans, AFAIK. Plus plans are individuals only.

@protonprivacy what's the storage bonus for Duo?
@felschr 15 GB per year gets added to the total allotment.
@protonprivacy Great news! Now Proton Drive for Linux just needs to be a reality πŸ˜‰

@me @protonprivacy Yeah mate. That's the only thing which is missing out.

Almost every Proton post will get a Linux client needed comment and every day I hope that they give us good news.

Us Linux users are privacy fiend so common drop that goddie.

@me @protonprivacy yep, I'm just waiting for the Linux client so I can upgrade my Proton Mail plan...
@protonprivacy I was holding off on family because I couldn’t justify for just two accounts. I was literally looking at getting my wife an account this week and it popped up today. Such great timing! Thank you!!
@protonprivacy I know that this is not the place and time but are you planning a messenger at some time?
@jiovanni @protonprivacy Why wouldn't you just use Signal or other E2E alternatives? Proton needs to flesh out their existing portfolio not adding more and more on :\
@protonprivacy thank you! This is exactly what I've been waiting for!
This is great! I also noticed that you included the logo for the new Proton Wallet in your promotion, but reading your blog post I don't see anything about this. πŸ€”
@pascalin Proton Wallet is still in early access, and when it launches, it will be included in the Duo plan.
@protonprivacy it's really great with a duo plan but the pricing seems a bit strange. If the duo plan is €20 and a single unlimited plan is €10 then what's the benefit of the duo over two regular accounts?
@dbrckmn the unlimited plan is €13 without the yearly discount

@ajgeiss0702 I was comparing yearly plans. The price for duo above is for an annual plan if I understand correctly.
- Duo annual, €19.99/month (without this initial discount)
- an individual unlimited plan paid annually is €9.99/month

Am I missing something?

Compare this to Spotify for example where the duo plan is roughly the price of 1.5 premium accounts and the family plan is roughly like two premium accounts

@protonprivacy Is it possible to migrate from "Mail essentials" to "Duo" ?
@protonprivacy Oh, that's cool! πŸš€
@protonprivacy After nearly a decade of leeching we have finally become supporters. πŸ‘ŒπŸ»
@protonprivacy It is still not possible to pay for two different product (like mail plus and pass plus) with a single account sadly...
@protonprivacy keep up the good Proton VPN you are the best πŸ‘πŸ‘
After a decade of being a diehard fan and paying google to spy on my files/info, I've fullly switched over to @protonprivacy. The 24 month forever discount is too good to pass up.
@theromansufi Happy to hear that Khalid! If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact us!
