TIL there's a new changed data detection mode in #ProxmoxBackupServer. Currently flagged experimental, but should increase backup speeds on big #lxc containers.

I currently have a 400GB container that takes more than an hour to backup. With this it could be down to minutes.

@ironicbadger LXC container. It runs nextcloud for my internal network.

I could probably move the data storage outside of the LXC container itself, so that it just gets bind mounted (proxmox) into the container, but it was a 1:1 conversion from a VM I used to have.

@jan makes sense now. Backing Nextcloud with a zfs dataset for incremental replications works super well here.

@ironicbadger I'd do that if I had a secondary target that talks zfs. Unfortunately I don't, and hosted options are exxxxxpensive.
