Elon Musk keeps predicting civil war in the UK. That's nonsense, as we can see from the massive turnout of decent, peace-loving, tolerant citizens who stood against a tiny number of thuggish racists.

The reason Musk holds this belief is that he has completely surrounded himself on Twitter with people exactly like the racist hoodlums who have been terrorizing immigrants and asylum seekers. He's created his own not-so-little bubble of fashdom, and believes it represents a majority. He's wrong.

@bodhipaksa

Pics like this give me hope.

Sometimes, with all the negatives that are promoted on social media, I feel my country is circling the drain and there are no decent people left.

And sometimes, at times like this, I'm proud to be British.

Down with the fascists, the racists and the bigots. They have no place in my country.

@SpeedStar It's good to see, and I have to say I was surprised by the size of the turnout. I thought the British people were too exhausted and demoralized to show up in such massive numbers. Perhaps the recent election (although, hollow laugh, I don't expect much from Labour) has given people new hope.

@bodhipaksa

I guess there are still good people out there and sm just drives the negativity

I hope you are right! They can't be much worse than the self serving mob of the last 14 years!
