Elon Musk keeps predicting civil war in the UK. That's nonsense, as we can see from the massive turnout of decent, peace-loving, tolerant citizens who stood against a tiny number of thuggish racists.
The reason Musk holds this belief is that he has completely surrounded himself on Twitter with people exactly like the racist hoodlums who have been terrorizing immigrants and asylum seekers. He's created his own not-so-little bubble of fashdom, and believes it represents a majority. He's wrong.
@morag Yes, Musk's "predictions" are actually incitements. Not only does he believe that fascists are in the majority, but he loathes liberals and believes that cohabitation with them is impossible, so that they have to be subjugated. He holds this view in common with many of his fellow tech-bros, some of whom are talking about ethnically cleansing liberals

They're all assuming that they're the only ones who know how to arm themselves, but if it actually comes to a real civil war, they'll find out exactly how mistaken they were in that assumption.
Of course, we'd prefer not to fight if we can avoid it, but if they start a fight, they can be goddamn sure that we will finish it.
@chusgc People believe him because they admire him or share his values. And you don't have to listen to him to know what he's saying. He's a public figure and his words are often repeated.

Yes, musk is full of shit, but as a Canadian living in England for nearly 50 years, I’m AMAZED (and delighted) that the antfascists bothered to turn up, especially in such numbers.
