@Skirmisher yeah he likes animals, seems jovial, and has a pretty good track record on progressive issues. he also seems to be a good public speaker. he's a nice ole midwestern dad guy who just happens to skew a bit more progressive. very surprised
tertu marybig@eniko I think of him as like a “pragmatic moderate”, in that while he has done some bad stuff (esp related to george floyd crackdowns, imo) he is willing to actually be pushed left on at least some things and implement progressive policies that are popular even if they might not be His Thing
