BillObviously X should be blocked in the UK now, right? I know it feeds into their whole "victim narrative" but we know denying the far right a platform makes them less impactful. On principle I've usually been against blocking stuff but there's a clear safety issue going here until X gets a new moderation team and owner. #UKPolitics
Steve Loughran@bill removing the app from apple and google phone app stores would be easier. Twitter isn’t technically blocked -the web is still live-, just removed from phones to stop it being used to coordinate unrest.
But: UK does depend on starlink to provide communications for Ukraine against the Russian invaders. A denial of service there would be bad for us -and not beyond the actions a petulant Musk would do
