Threads and @flipboard are both part of the same decentralized network. Can you explain what that means, Mike?
Sure! If you enable “Fediverse Sharing” in your account settings here on Threads, people using Flipboard or other fediverse apps like Mastodon can then discover and reply to your posts. This lets you get discovered by a whole new audience of people who might want to follow you. It's sort of like email: people can communicate with each other regardless of the app or service they use.
@mmccue @evanprodromou Are threads users notified about this setting in any way? I’m thinking the average threads user doesn’t know much about the fedaverse, so they wouldn't even think about looking for a setting like that.
