I 3D printed a QR code to my spicy site! It took about 12 hours of fighting my 3D printer, and it was worth it.
Pictures 2, 3, and 4 show a few of my printer fails. I was perplexed over the half inch layer shift between layers one and two. To diagnose the problem I printed a different model and the same offset happened. I recalibrated the printer and had the same issue. Then I printed again and watched what was happening and noticed the toolhead was hitting the front left corner with strong force, so I searched online for that error and the only suggestions were to factory reset the printer, so I did, and that didn't help. Next step was to read through the Bambu X1C manual on the toolhead to see if there was useful advice on this issue and, nope, no luck. Got advice from an acquaintance suggesting I uninstall the software from my computer and reinstall it, but I still got the same printing issue. Then I noticed the issue in the top right of the plate where the first 1/2 inch print error happens. Found someone online suggesting that there may be extra foam in the top right corner. Doubted that was the issue as I've had many successful prints but I checked anyway, and found a chunk of printing garbage from a previous print. I removed that and everything prints great now.
I was frustrated with every point in this diagnosing process, but I did learn so much about my printer so it was probably an ok use of my time. 😂
