I’d love to run a poll and ask how many people have actually worked on a political campaign. Not posted about it but actually worked.

But I’m not sure people would answer it honestly.

Anyway, this is my regular reminder to do more than post- please sign up to volunteer, get involved and listen to people out in the real world, encourage people to vote and tell them why you do, volunteer to be a poll worker, help people register and get to the polls.

We all have to do some real work here.

@TonyStark I joined the League of Women Voters a couple of years ago when I retired and have been working with them on getting out the vote ever since. So I haven't been working for a particular campaign but I've been writing postcards, doing various chores for the local polling places, that sort of thing. I don't do door knocking simply because, in this area, there's a not inconsequential possibility I might get shot. But otherwise, I work on informing voters and getting people registered.
@isotope239 You are fantastic. Thanks so much for helping us all out and for posting that. It’s appreciated very much!

@TonyStark Aw thanks! I don't know about fantastic, but some days I'm pretty good. The League has made it super easy to get folks registered, I use a website I've mentioned in your threads before: https://www.vote411.org

It's also a good site for finding out what you can do locally, where the help is needed.
