I’d love to run a poll and ask how many people have actually worked on a political campaign. Not posted about it but actually worked.

But I’m not sure people would answer it honestly.

Anyway, this is my regular reminder to do more than post- please sign up to volunteer, get involved and listen to people out in the real world, encourage people to vote and tell them why you do, volunteer to be a poll worker, help people register and get to the polls.

We all have to do some real work here.

@TonyStark I assume you include volunteering here, based on your examples. I’ve volunteered for numerous campaigns. I’ve not knocked on doors since the pandemic started, I’ve phone banked (texting) and done postcards instead. Texting is so much easier than calling, I highly recommend it to those who want to get their feet wet.

@tweetsjen It all counts and thank you for doing it. Texting is definitely a great start.

My daughter’s friend’s older brother (that’s awkward but accurate) tried one with my local Dems in our primaries and really liked it as a first volunteer opportunity. Thanks!
