For those of you involved in #MaskBlocs or #MutualAid in general, particularly in the UK, how have you managed donations and funds? Personal accounts are not only individual responsibility rather than collective, but also not appropriate for people like me who are #SelfEmployed and/or on #UniversalCredit and other forms of social security! Any ideas? We don't want the mask bloc to be a formalised bureaucratic group! So it's a little difficult for it to have a bank account lolz #funds #funding #volunteering #donations
@sheffieldmaskbloc Wait, would @opencollective be appropriate? Do any relatively informal #MutualAid groups have any experience with using #OpenCollective in this way?
HousingCatš@MediaActivist @sheffieldmaskbloc @opencollective open collective is good for if you are getting a lot of donations and all need access to the funds. An anonymous service like cash app with a debit card can be ok if you're ok with one person having the card and you aren't getting too much donations
