- many times the cops didn't stop me or search my car that would have resulted in youthful felonies

did I deserve to go to jail? no

would a black man have gone to jail? probably yes

- when I started taking work semi seriously I talked my way into consulting gigs and then full time jobs despite having dropped out of college for Dead tour

was I great at the jobs I got? yep.

would an equally great black man have gotten those chances? maybe... but prob not

Oh man, my go-to here is pretty telling. My #WhitePrivilege here was getting pull over for speeding at like 1 in the morning. Came home from a friend's house, and was upset about something.

Ended up going 94 MPH on a 45 or 50 MPH road. Got pulled over. Cop walked up, probably saw I was upset about something, and let me drive home. I didn't even have to get out of the car. There was no breathalyzer test. License almost got revoked months later because he did report it though.
