It’s been a minute since I have been in the #mastodon world.

I was diagnosed with stage 2 grade 2 clear cell renal carcinoma. I’m 32 years old and soon to be 33. I was given the “go home and don’t come back convo” from my oncologist which is great.

My first scans on May 31st were clean, and my next ones are October 31st. Would love to connect with other #cancer folks here if there are any.

If this doesn’t apply to you, that’s fine, but boost if you can ❤️👏🏻❗️

Yeah. 63, Brit, white male; had my left kidney removed on March 1st. I've been keeping a very, very minimal log here:

I have an unexpected blot on my left kidney, per ultrasound. Quite startling; the scan was at about 11 am on Wednesday, and the GP's surgery phoned saying "We should talk" before 2pm. Junior doctors (including most GPs) were striking that day, and my GP was on holiday. I conclude there is some urgency. I am not really surprised, as I've had intermittent pain there for a while. Further scans will follow, when the (overloaded) NHS can do it. Then we will know how best to proceed. 1 of n

@SoftwareTheron oh wow! Did yo get a diagnosis yet?
@sidsadler
Cancerous. But apparently 90% of those are cancerous and the others tend to bleed into the body cavity unexpectedly, so it wasn't a hard decision.
I actually can't remember precisely what I was told about the exact type. I could probably find it, if you're interested. Open to other questions, but not promising to answer them :)
