have a stock-based android launcher? try this:

  • long-press an app
  • immediately after starting the long-press, use another finger to open a folder
  • when the long-press has completed, drag the app into the folder
  • watch the launcher crash

as far as i know, this even works in the latest version of pixel launcher

@kescher i know!! has been for years and works everywhere :') (actually tried this a few months ago on a brand new pixel phone)
