#TBT #Playlist from #RadiosInMotion, very cool early-80s #PostPunk / #NewWave show on #Detroit's #WDET. Named after the #XTC classic. Very Anglocentric, but so am I so s'all good. A couple of local acts, #Cinecyde and #MarkJNorton, made the cut. Initially hosted by #MikeHalloran (maybe his handwriting?), later of #SanDiego's #91X and a few other stations. IIRC He got fired from one of 'em 'cuz he burned the studio down or something like that! 🎵 🎶 📻 👍 😁 #Music #ClassicRock #Radio #Broadcasting

@serpicojam Yeah, definitely! I was listening to #ElectrifyingMojo as well. I thought it was cool when bands like Tom Tom Club and the B-52's would get played on both stations!

With the arrival of cable TV/MTV (I think we got it in our house around then), it was definitely a cool time to be a kid who loved music.

@serpicojam Yeah, early MTV was good, lots of new bands and new sounds and new styles coming out, it was really refreshing.
