Free, Fair, and Alive. Sometimes, a book you have started several times before suddenly clicks, like a lock whose tumblers align. "Work in a commons is not a purchased unit of commodities work, aka "labor." It is an activity that draws upon people's deep passions and values -- their whole selves." This is exactly what we are trying to do.

Gratitude to @mike_hales for, among other things, introducing me to "commoning" and "provisioning."

Ff&a is one of my most liked books about the #Commons (Les Comunes un Spanish).

The patterns are invaluable to gain years of practice and rediscovery in a swoop. :)

David Bollier & Silke Helfrich have a great background of investigation that precedes FF&A, and was the basis of the pattern language.

Hi @mike_hales
@Matt_Noyes

Absolutely yes! :)
I'm slowly going through those wikis as we go forward and made a poster from the Ff&a book patterns for us (@confluencia) using the original book images.
It is in spanish, but in case it's useful I'll happily share it (I'll search my backups these days to retrieve it) with the source so it can be edited.
