Fox has stated for the record they are entertainment, not news. That is grounds to refuse (as if the proposed moderators were not).

I still think it should be an actual debate. The candidates take turns asking each other questions. No rambling bs like Congress does in hearings.30 seconds to pose a question. The other party gets two minutes to address the question.
A panel of referees can declare an answer unresponsive. Then the published debate transcript just says "no response"

Think of all the questions trump ducked and got away with it!

Also, think of trump trying to pose a rationally stated quesion.

No opportunity to say "dems murder babies after birth"
Has to say "do you support murdering babies after birth?"

Answer: "No. Nobody does. That would be illegal and immoral. I am surprised you suggest such a thing."

Leave it to the viewer to decide WHY he asked such a question.
