It's apple time!

My guess is that there are at least 175 apples in the basket, and I haven't even brought out the ladder yet to get the ones high up. Another 60 or 70 apples have dropped off the tree as windfalls, which are only safe for cooking (if cleaned well). There are at least another to 100 to 150 apples still on the tree.

This is an excellent crop for a tree that is not much more than 12 ft/3.6 m tall.

@sarahc Can the windfalls be pressed for cider, or would it be better to boil them down to applesauce? Beautiful harvest!
