Argh. It looks like the clear mask thing doesn’t let you *just* use it with filters (like any other respirator in existence). Wtf?! Why is it so hard to just move the fucking filters to the side and have at least a patch or strip of your mouth be visible? Seems pretty damn important for working in a loud or disruptive environment!

@trendless @MxVerda I'm in big agreement on the Dräger 1920, and for eye protection, I'd combine it with a set of swim goggles. They get a better seal than most safety goggles.

Unfortunately, all the see-through disposables that have gone through community fit testing have performed poorly. They haven't been among the best for effective face seals, and the drastically reduced filter surface area increases resistance, making them harder to breathe through and encouraging intrusion through leaks.

Because these people wear glasses.

Any eye protection is better than nothing.

@MxVerda @trendless For trying to get friends and family to wear _anything_ I totally sympathize. I was viewing the 1920 as an excellent option for someone who was actively seeking a respirator for themselves.

Any eye protection is better than none when trying to get others to wear it. For someone actively interested in protection, swim goggles are the least expensive option with a good seal and many different styles to choose from.
