@blinry restroom and fee=no in Berlin also returns all kinds of outdoor pay toilets run by Wall. Data corrupted by profit interest I'd say.

@jrp restroom-data on osm is often not up to date. open data by the state of berlin shows more than 270 restrooms with no fee. https://daten.berlin.de/datensaetze/standorte-der-%C3%B6ffentlichen-toiletten

There's loads of those Wall restrooms in Berlin. I'd say at least dozens or even hundreds. I'll fix the ones in my neighborhood eventually. But it is worrying, that the data enters the system without being double checked.

@jrp you can look into the official dataset and search for wall restrooms close to you. hint: you can filter the official spreadsheet by district _and_ operator _and_ fee. :) https://daten.berlin.de/datensaetze/standorte-der-%C3%B6ffentlichen-toiletten

@jk @jrp @blinry There are around 430 public toilets in Berlin, of which around 280 are operated by Wall. There has been a charge free trial for 100 of them since 2022. This ended in June 2024, but Berlin and Wall have announced that they will continue this service. Perhaps the OSM data is not as outdated as you think.
